SMART's DDR5 MRDIMM (Multiplexed Rank Dual In-line Memory Module) enhances performance by multiplexing two ranks of DDR5 DRAM, effectively doubling the data rate per signal pin. This architecture achieves up to 12,800 MT/s (using 6,400 MT/s DRAM) by interleaving data streams, enabled by a multiplexer rank chip-down buffer (MRCD) and data buffers (MDBs). The design maintains DDR5 physical connections while increasing bandwidth and capacity.

Designed for AI/ML training, In-Memory databases (IMDB), and HPC workloads like financial modeling and scientific simulations, it leverages on-DIMM power management (PMIC) and dual independent 40-bit subchannels to maximize efficiency. The module supports capacities up to 256GB for 1U to 4U server configurations, ensuring seamless integration into next-gen data centers.
